Frequently Asked Questions
Everything is built to order. As a guide, coffee tables start around NZ$700, lamps NZ$350, wall art NZ$150 and aquarium cabinets NZ$1,000. The final price depends on size, timber and finish. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll talk it through.
What do you make?
Coffee tables, lamps, timber wall art, plant pieces and custom aquarium cabinets, plus one-off furniture built around your space. Everything comes in one of three finishes: Hikari, Gendai or Yakisugi, or a combination of them.
How do I request a quote?
Send an enquiry through the contact form with the piece, rough dimensions and the room it’s for. Starting prices are on the Our Work page. We’ll come back with a firm figure once size, timber and finish are settled.
Can I choose the timber and size?
Yes. We’ll talk through timber, size and finish so the piece suits the space it’s going into.
Can you make something custom?
Absolutely. Made-to-order work is most of what we do — designed around individual spaces and ideas.
How long does a custom piece take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the piece. We’ll give you a realistic timeline once we’ve talked through the design.
Can I be involved in the design stage?
Yes. We’ll share the design direction as it develops, so the finished piece is one you helped shape.
What is Yakisugi?
A traditional Japanese technique of charring timber. We use a Yakisugi-inspired approach to draw out deeper contrast, grain and texture.
How do I get started?
Send us an enquiry through the contact form with your idea, and we’ll take it from there.
